Recent Catches
Here are two of Lucian's fish caught recently at Cumberland. They weighed 22 lbs. 6 oz. and 23 lbs. 7 oz.

Here are the results of the KSC January 19-20 tournament
The first 2 pictures are of a 17.7 pounder caught by Larry and Scott the day before the tournament
The 4th picture is of Roger with 2 of 4 fish caught on the 2nd day of the tournament
Roger had not planned on fishing Sunday morning because he thought it was going to be really cold,
but when he got up, it was well above 0, it was 6 degrees.
The winning fish was 16.4 pounds

This was the only Striper, but they also brought back about 100 bluegill

Rob Woodward won the "I Rule" tournament with 29+ pounds and Larry Vaughn came in 2nd with 25+ pounds

This catch made her the winner of the tournament. You boys better do some more practicing before the next event!

Tom Lacher does it again on Cumberland with a 29 lb.2oz. 41 inch Striper he caught on a downline.


It is easier on the Webmaster when Tom catches all of the fish, but I will upload other members fish.
Your treasurer is thinking about hanging up his cast net and getting some dough balls so he can get a picture on.

Here are some pics of the tourny at Cannelton Dam. Don Boston ,Rob Woodward ,Pete Maloney, Larry Vaughn & his 8yr. old grandson Austin fished it. We had a great time. Larry has made a fisherman out of Austin already. He must have caught 50 Skip Jacks with his Zebco 33.The largest fish was a 32" Striper and all the rest were Hybrids ranging between 18" to 26".We probably caught a dozen or more. Wish more members would have showed up. We'll give you more info at our next meeting . Don

The only Striper caught was this 32" one caught 30 feet deep
Did drag a 3 pound bass about 2 hours before deciding it was a fish and not a limber rod

NSBA March 6th Lake Cumberland Tournament Results

Chester and son Jason came in 1st place with over 40 pounds
Winners of the Cabin Fever Tournament were Joe Wise & Paul McDonough with one 10 lb. Striper.
Congratulations Joe & Paul! Obviously a great job considering the word is no one else even got a bite.
Eight boats entered and no other fish caught.
There was a 9th boat that came to the weigh in with a 10 lb. fish also,
unfortunately, they were at the ramp to weigh in on central time.
REMINDER!! ALL KSC TOURNAMENTS ARE HELD ON EASTERN TIME!
Tom Lacher is a brave man to go Striper fishing of Valentine's Day, but it paid off with a 14-3 and a 11-2

Bill Hardy, Todd and Roger Hahn/January 11th
Two of three Stripers caught by Bill, Todd and Roger Hahn. They were 8.4, 8.7, and 14.7 pounds. One at 12 feet, one at
30 feet and one at 40 feet.
Bob Hall/December 28th
Bob caught this 8lb. 12oz. and 14lb. 4oz. on a trip with Tom Lacher. Tom reports that the fish were in the middle
of the creeks with most people using down riggers (Tom left his at home). These two were caught on shiners. Note:
Roger was down since Tom and Bob (No luck), most people were pulling boards heard of 2 fish caught, both about 40 feet
deep, one on down line and one on board. Found a lot of fish early and late at 12-20 but couldn't get them to bite.
LUNKER-LUST TOURNAMENT DEC. 6-7

Ron Woodward edged out Larry one more time with a 15 pounder.
Roger Hahn and Rod Doyle came in last with two 28 inchers. Everyone had a great weekend

Last two day trip - not a bite! This two hour trip on 11/15 - Striper in 30 minutes!
Guess that is what keeps us coming back!

For our Oct.18-19 "End of Dog Days Tournament", Rob Woodward & Don Boston edged out "El Presidente" by one pound in our "two fish
per boat" weigh-in at the Wolf creek ramp. Rob's big fish was 16 pounds with a ten pounder. Larry Vaugh's big fish was
14 lbs. with a 11 lb. trailer. Score was 26 to 25. Don and Roger took the $150 for big fish and most pounds.

Tom Lacher stuck again. A 29"-10.6#, a 33"-14.4# on 7/19/03 and a 35"-16.2# on 7/25/03 all caught on Lake Cumberland 26-43' deep using white
jigs and 6" tails. He also caught several last week but had no camera. Way to go Tom!
